This is shot looking from the other side of Great Head toward Otter Point. The small rock island in the middle is called Old Soaker - probably because if you got stranded on it, you'd get soaked.

More of the same, only in portrait.

Nice house - see it? Right in the center.

Surf crashing on Otter Point, looking toward Little Hunters Beach.

This guy was not happy with me being so close. But he wasn't about to be frightened off. Mouse over the image.

Somesville Harbor early in the day. This isn't really a working harbor - more of a recreational harbor. Here's it's the middle of the week and all the boats are moored.

This is Eagle Lake taken from half-way up Cadillac Mountain.

Bar Harbor from Cadillac Mountain. Here it's easier to see Bar Island on the left and the four Porcupines - Burnt, Long, Sheep and Bald.

Cadillac Mountain Granite. All of the granite that makes up Mount Desert Island appears pink from the pink feldspar in the rock.
