Halifax, Peggy's Cove and Lunenburg, Nova Scotia
August 11-16, 2007 - Days 27-32 on the road. Part IV.
More Buskers. I stopped here in the middle of this act and should have probably moved on. I really didn't get it. The "volunteer" from the audience is probably about to be made to look like a fool.
The partner - dancing around and swinging a whip. Same strange sort of costume. I really missed something . . .
A Harbor Hopper cruising the downtown streets. These things are big . . . I certainly wouldn't want to try to drive one on these streets.
St Matthew's United Church of Canada -- Dwarfed by the Aliant building in the background.
Sunday Service at 11:00 AM, All Welcome.
St Mary's Cathedral Basilica - right around the corner from St Matthew's. Unlike St Matthew's however, services are 15 times a week!
More St Mary's.
A tug in the harbor.
This is a fresnel lens on display in the Halifax Maritime Museum. It was not noted which lighthouse this was used in.
A selection of sailing craft in the museum.
Detail of the leftmost one in the display.
"A good holiday is one that is spent among people whose notions of time are vaguer than yours."
