Ken's Journal
No. 5 - Summer 2005

Edmonton, Alberta, Canada
June 11-12, 2005 - Days 11-12 on the road. Part II.

The water-slides and wave-pool. All part of the mall.

The other end of the wave-pool with more slides and the 106' tall bungee-jump tower.

The hockey rink. This is regulation size and there are regularly scheduled games.

Want to buy a Ferrari? This one's not for sale but you can buy raffle tickets for it - 3 for $10 Canadian. Not having a Canadian address, I wasn't eligible to enter the drawing. Besides, it's a used one - A 1987 328 GTSi - who really wants a used Ferrari?

Some of the "art" found in the mall. If I was a little kid, this one would have seemed a little scary to me - real Stephen King style characters - malevolent.

One of the two 18 hole, indoor miniature golf courses - all in the mall. This one is the Glow-in-the-Dark one.

Bourbon Street. A small wing of the mall where the storefronts are fashioned after townhouses on the real Bourbon Street in New Orleans.
The storefronts are on the second level - I'm shooting from the level below. Note the skylight above!

Next - Lamont County - A Ukrainian Community - County of Churches - Out and Around Edmonton
