I'm told this is the new and upcoming technology in ballooning - the personal balloon!! The balloon is about a third the size of the others and the "pilot" is strapped into a simple harness suspended under the burner. The propane tank is suspended from the lines to the balloon. As I took this image, the balloon was tethered to the ground. Later, he took flight with the others!! |

Note: The moon is notoriously difficult to photograph - typically, what you see by the naked eye is NOT what you get on film - on film, it's always much smaller than what you remembered because of a combination of camera optics giving you reality and your eye giving you what you really wanted to see!! The two images including the moon above have been manipulated . . !! Photoshopped as it were . . !! In each case, I made the moon about four times larger than it actually appeared in the original image!! It looks more like what you'd like it to look like, doesn't it? Caveat Emptor . . !! |
