Daytrips - Rolex 24 Hour Test - 01/03-05/2004

Another pesky Daytona Prototype. This is a Chevrolet Crawford (Chevy engine/Crawford built chassis) entered by Spirit of Daytona Racing and sponsored by FLIS Motorsports.

Here's another Fabcar, this one powered by Toyota.

A little congestion in the corner. The Porsche on the right is an SGS car. The nose is stock - no body modifications. The one in the center is a GT car - see the air dam and the splitter? The bodywork is heavily modified from the stock car.

Our BMW again. I like BMWs. I've had a couple.

Another GT Porsche. This one is entered by Stevenson Motorsports/Auto Assets and sponsored by Stevenson Auto Group/Auto Assets.com. Let the IRS figure that one out!!

Another Daytona Prototype. This one ran last year, the first year of the DP spec. The entry is Brumos Racing and the sponsor is Brumos Porsche. Drivers are Hurley Haywood, Scott Sharp and JC France (Yes, from that France family.)

Yet another DP car. This one is built by Kevin Doran and sponsored by Lista - the people who build high end garage cabinets. Kevin used a Lexus engine in this one. Didier Theys and Fredy Lienhard are the drivers.

This is a Doran chassis as well. This one is powered by Chevrolet. The entry is Bell Motorsports and the sponsor is Feeds the Need/Fikse.

So far, of the 55 entries, 18 are DP cars and there are 5 manufacturers - Crawford, Multimatic, Fabcar, Doran and Riley.

Comin' right at ya.

Another. Between this SGS and the GT on the left can really see the difference between a GT and an SGS class Porsche.
